Glasgow – a Variety of Good Food
Glasgow is such a great city for food. There are a lot of amazing restaurants to choose from including mainstream restaurants such as Italian, Indian, Chinese as well as this we also have Brazilian, Iranian, Mongolian and Thai.
Here are a couple of restaurants that I have visited this week.
La Lanterna – The La Lanterna is an Italian restaurant based in Glasgow’s city centre next to central station. They offer amazing authentic Italian dishes. For my main I decided to go for the Spaghetti allo Scoglio which is a seafood dish – absolutely amazing.
Persian Paradise – I decided to try something a bit different and went to an Iranian restaurant that was recommended to me by a friend. This restaurant was amazing and was reminiscing of Greek food that I tried on holiday. I went for the mixed grill ( a sharing dish for two ) it was basically a large kebab with lamb, chicken and beef – very tasty
My Favorite Pizza
My absolute favorite pizza toppings are mushrooms and olives on a thin crust. I love this pizza. It’s gooey but not overdone. The tastes are salty and earthy. It’s an excellent pizza choice. My husband on the other hand loves pepperoni and pineapple. This is far too salty and sweet for me. So we tend to buy two pizzas when it’s time to eat out or order in. And leftovers are no problem. I love pizza for breakfast. It’s warm and gooey and easy to digest. Also it’s easy to heat up in the microwave. Definitely it’s a convenience food for breakfast. Of course it works very well for lunch also. Pizza leftovers never last very long. They taste too good and are so easy to reheat. One average slice is enough for my lunch along with an apple. It’s healthy too. And I always try to save money so I use Dominos coupons.
